If self-contained is more your thing, have a look at our new Nook. Renovated in 2020 from our old stone laundry, we have created a separate space with patio and fire pit to enjoy the views of Bassenthwaite Lake, the top of Latrigg, and the view of Catbells from bed!

There's a kettle, toaster, microwave, sink and mini kitchenette, Smart TV and WiFi too.

The Nook - self-catering

The Nook is a cosy self-contained, self-catering Twin or Super-King retreat tucked away at the rear of Claremont House in its own private setting. It has been painstakingly developed from an old stone outbuilding into a beautiful and comfortable place to unwind and recharge after enjoying a day of everything the Lake District has to offer.
